Fil d’Arena

“Nimbes” is the ninth creation by Fil d’Arena. With this show, the company celebrates its tenth anniversary by sharing the stage with ten women aged 4 to 70, to give voice to diversity and highlight the importance of emotional networks, bonds, and legacy.

On this occasion, the company wants to share with the community. A female stage community composed of the company’s cast along with different individuals from the location where the mediation workshop takes place, who will delve into their universe: two girls, a teenage dance student, and an elderly woman.

Synopsis

"Nimbes" delves into the inheritance, the invisible legacy passed down from one generation to another. It's about embracing, transforming, and reshaping the tradition that resides within our bodies. It's a journey through ourselves, in the present, and the one left by history. A place where women come together to share, to be whatever we want to be, to play and dance together to the rhythm of our own beats. It's a collective breath that propels us forward and makes us stronger.

"Nimbes," which is actually the halo placed around sacred characters in religious iconography, staunchly refuses to speak of saints, but rather seeks to find meaning in an active and vibrant feminism through this ensemble of imperfect and diverse bodies. It's a network of imperfections that grow stronger as they share their lives together.
